When people think of homelessness, they often picture individuals living on the street or in their cars. However, homelessness is a much more nuanced issue, and one that can affect people of all ages and backgrounds. At Community Reach, we work with families to get them back on their feet after an experience with homelessness. We provide temporary shelter and help them to find stable jobs. Once they have a steady income, we work with them to find a permanent residence. This comprehensive approach ensures that families have the support they need to rebuild their lives. As a result, we are able to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who come to us for help. We serve all of Central Florida, including Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Polk Counties.

While there are a variety of factors that contribute to homelessness, one of the most important is a lack of safe and affordable housing. Bridge housing can provide a crucial stopgap for families who are struggling to find stable housing. Bridge housing facilities provide basic amenities like beds, showers, and meals. These facilities also offer case management services that can connect residents with resources like job training and financial assistance. While bridge housing is not a long-term solution to homelessness, it can provide a much-needed safety net for our families who are facing difficult circumstances. Community support is essential for ensuring that bridge housing facilities have the resources they need to serve those in need. Through monetary donations, volunteerism, and advocacy, community members can help ensure that bridge housing remains available as a vital resource for those experiencing homelessness.
